Texas AAA Provides Roadmap to Give Evidence-Based Programs a Boost

A new blog this week from the Aging and Disability Business Institute features tips and advice for community-based organizations (CBOs) that have, or are looking to develop, evidence-based program (EBP) services.

Written by Don Smith and Alexandra Cisneros of the United Way and Area Agency on Aging of Tarrant County in Fort Worth, Texas, the post offers an insightful take on strategies to build and sustain an EBP program beyond the realm of a single organization's capacity. The authors advocate for a “systems-level” approach to EBPs, one that taps into the strengths of a diverse set of community partners and leverages existing and new relationships for program efficiency and scale.

In order for CBOs to thrive in the new health care delivery landscape, they'll need to get creative and collaborative, and they'll need to do it with a sense of urgency. Check out this latest post to find out how one innovative AAA has embraced EBPs as a pathway to this success, and take home lessons-learned that you can apply to your own organization.
